How was your weekend?|
The moment I heard my Dad say "Wow," I knew I'd made the right choice to start my weekend with an unexpected swing up to Michigan. (The weather forecast hadn't been favorable a couple of days earlier and I'd told him I was going to head straight east from Chicago.)
I was glad to have more time with him, and with my sister, too. Useful shopping, unexpected work, some good sleep, and a full 28 consecutive hours offline.
Believe me, I was thinking, thinking, thinking of heading your way as I drove through Ohio today. Alas, the lousy travel forecast for the rest of the week ruled out that whim.
Fun pix. The windy hair shots remind me I have another icon to make.

*sigh* sadly, I am now significantly distant from the east-west corridor. Glad to hear you got in a nice visit with your da and sis.
Is the windy picture from the windy city?
My windy picture is from Warrior Point on Pyramid Lake, which is a short drive outside Reno, NV. Imagine an alien landscape that doubles as a Wild West landscape. Then add Tim Powers' skies. It's a fabulous place, in a totally different way than Lake Tahoe, which I also loved.

Sounds awesome. I'm hoping to be able to take some time to tour around there in 2011.
