So, I feel I should comment- Cowbow Bebop was highly enjoyable! One of the best soundtracks I've heard on any movie and definitely the best on an anime. It was also nice running into Scott on the way in (he had just seen Russian Ark) and to have Bjorn join us for the show.

Juggling beforehand was pretty good. I'll miss it when the softball season starts. it's really too bad those are both the same day. I should have done more investigating into what "part-time" softball was. We were a bit rushed at the end of the softball team potluck.

Time really goes by fast when you've got a day job. Bill's mom comes to visit next week and we're trying to think of something good to give her for her birthday. It's hard.

Had a nice talk with my sister tonight. She was going to see Marcel Marceau perform tonight and was waxing nostalgic about studying under him 12 years ago. We both studied mime but she actually got to study under the master. We were really lucky to grow up in Ann Arbor, I cannot count the ways.

I really enjoyed the movie too, on a number of levels. It was better than most non-anime movies that I've seen lately. The characters had depth, the action was exciting, the comic relief was hilarious yet somehow story-appropriate. The animation was of good quality and visually interesting without being distracting from the story. I liked a number of the minor characters as well, like the pilots. The dubbing was well-done, too; I was under the impression that it would have subtitles, so it was a relief to be able to fully enjoy the visual experience.

When the credits rolled, I was surprised by how many different animation houses were involved in the project. It felt too consistent to me to have that many people involved in its production.

It was good to see you guys as well. We don't get to see each other on a social basis enough...

I am hoping to go see Cowboy Bebop tonight. Sounds like fun! I'm glad you guys enjoyed it.

Cool! I had no idea you had studied mime
or that your sister had studied under Marcel Marceau!

Must have been an awesome experience!
