nod. My sister and I faced that effect at the tail end of our 1996 Road Trip
- it was november and it was getting dark around 5, so we ended up doing most of our substantial traveling after dark so we could see our destination locations in the daylight. We had some really late nights on that trip, like driving from the Southern Rim of the Grand Canyon to Zion national park, starting at sunset. Boy, those Mule Deer herds in Zion think they own the road in the wee hours of the night...
That works better in the U.S., because there's more boring driving to be done.
Grand Canyon to Zion is a long drive; I'm impressed.
