had a cool chocolate party last night. Very tired today though and actually left the party before all our guests left because they were having fun playing a game and couldn't even track it, my headache was coming on again. I'd been up really early that day anyway, to go in for my MRI on my knee.

Today was the last day of visiting from David Bennet of Perth Australia (lately of Seattle), who stayed with us the weekend as part of a road trip around the states. I had a nice talk with him about history and different issues in the morning and around 1 suggested we go to Zingerman's for lunch. On the way there I took him past some parks and past the gandy dancer so he could get a better sens of the size of town and where the historical part of it was. After lunch I took him quickly through the old west side and then back here and he took off.

I need to remember to check out the Jefferson Market, which Tammy says is now a nice place to eat, and this Indian place that used to be Delongs....

What is a gandy dancer? And why does your town have one? :)

The Gandy Dancer is an upscale restaurant (and piano bar) in what once was the train station. lovely old stone architecture. A fine strawberry daquiri.
