There's this song going through my head from Toys (the soundtrack).
Let the bells ring out for christmas, at the closing of the year...

I just love the voice that sings that.

Let's see... Tuesday night Bill and I went and swam at the rec center, and my knee felt pretty good after that, so last night I went to my soccer game. I think it was a good thing I went. We have a lot of good players on the team but they rarely seem to show up on the same day. We lost, but the other team had like 7 or 8 subs and we only had three most of the game, so we were running hot and tired. I sat out the last five minutes of the game because my left knee was feeling sore, but today it feels all right. My right knee is sore, actually. I figure it's accumulated soreness for compensating for my left knee.

I made more progress this morning in digging out my desk. I also did some gardening, ate the first green pepper from my garden, put another wire frame support thing over a tomato plant that was leaning over. Some of the zuchinis on my bigest zuchini plant were turning yellow and going bad without ever getting more than 3 inches long. I don't know what's up with that. I have a good-looking one growing on another plant. Some critter or another came in the night and ate most of the leaves off my third zuchini. They were eaten off almost a foot off the ground so I don't know if that was rabbits or not. must have been one hungry rabbit, if it was.

Hi!

(Link)
I happened to notice your post on Rikhei's LiveJournal, and since you are here I thought I would say hello. I didn't know you were living in Ann Arbor -- I was there recently, so I regret that I did not come by and say hi in person. How have you been? I graduated from Grinnell at some point, roamed the countryside and then wound up in graduate school. Higher education has some kind of weird pull, it is nearly inescapable. Hmm, and now I'm writing all of this as a comment to your journal instead of contacting you directly, so all your friends can read it and everyone will realize at once that I don't have anything interesting to say. Well, it's almost midnight, so this is the best I can do for now.
